Energy audits and heating costs are a major concern for home buyers. Come to this course to discuss energy audits, what they do and what they do not do. Learn about the various home energy rating systems, the thermodynamics of heat loss, the principle of comfort, various ways homes loose heat and unique remedies for solving heat loss.  New and standard heat sources such as geothermal, corn, solar, coal, etc. will also be discussed.The course will include a comparison of the cost and BTU content of different types of fuel. This course is approved for 3 clock hours of continuing education by the Maine Real Estate Commission.
